Water performance! Jet Aire impresses at charity golf day

Jet Aire are pleased to report an impressive second place finish for our team taking part in Yorkshire Water’s recent Golf Day at the Oaks Golf Club in Aughton, near York. More importantly, the event raised £18,000 for WaterAid as part of Yorkshire Water’s wider commitment to supporting the charity, which transforms lives by improving access to water, hygiene and sanitation.

Jet Aire’s crack team included National Key Account Manager, John Richmond, alongside Business Development Manager, Gavin McCann, and Directors, Keith Ferris and Darren Pavan. Competing in the Stableford format, the fantastic four scored an impressive 86, trailing the winning team by just seven points.

Yorkshire Water CEO, Richard Flint, is a Trustee of WaterAid and fundraising for WaterAid forms an integral part of their Hands Up volunteering initiative. Yorkshire Water is working with WaterAid on a five-year project to support the delivery of safe water and sanitation to 20 towns in Ethiopia.

Richard Flint said: "As long-standing supporters of WaterAid, we're proud to be playing our part in providing safe water and sanitation to some of the world's poorest countries. We are working with WaterAid to raise awareness of the daily struggle many communities face when trying to access clean, safe drinking water.”

Between 2014 and 2017, Yorkshire Water’s colleagues, partners and customers raised a massive £731,000 for WaterAid. Jet Aire were proud to play our part in helping to build on this figure in 2018!
