Dan’s the man for Jet Aire’s happy customer

When drainage fails, it can be an unpleasant and stressful experience for businesses and domestic customers alike. As drainage maintenance experts, Jet Aire know that a friendly and positive ‘can-do’ attitude can make a big difference. We were delighted to be reminded of this when we received an email from Barry Ward, a homeowner in Hartlepool who was impressed by the effort and determination of the Jet Aire engineer in solving his drainage issue. Barry wrote:


“For the past few days, we had blocked drains in both our kitchen and utility room sinks. After failing to clear the problem ourselves, we contacted one of your competitors. They were absolutely useless and did nothing, so we contacted Northumbrian Water. The telephone response was first-class. I wish I’d taken the lady’s name that I was speaking to. Not only was she extremely helpful, she also recovered the records of our house and knew all about alterations that we had made previously. After listening to our problem she advised us that somebody would be with us within a maximum of four hours. In actual fact, your technician Dan Close was with us in a little over one hour. For this I must compliment Northumbrian Water as a whole. This is not the first time I have contacted Northumbrian Water and I have always received excellent service. Having said that, Dan was something else. Clearing the blockage was not easy as it was in an inspection chamber that was now under the floor of our new garden room! We were therefore fearful that the floor of the garden room would have to come up. However, Dan would not be beaten. He must have spent at least an hour going this way and that to access the blockage until we saw huge quantities of washing powder residue come flowing through the outlet manhole. After the negative attitude of your competitor’s operative, Dan was the complete opposite. Not only was he clever and resourceful in clearing the blockage, but his attitude was cheerful and cooperative. He is an asset to your organisation.”
