Jet Aire Services are pleased to announce that, for the second year running, we will be sponsoring the Welly Ball, a black tie charity event held in partnership with the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust.
Now in its 10th year, the Welly Ball is held annually at Kinkell Byre, St Andrews. As the name suggests, its defining characteristic is the wearing of wellington boots combined with formal evening wear, allowing guests to enjoy a night of dancing and revelry in the Scottish mud without ruining any footwear! Taking place on 11 November, this year’s event welcomes guests from St Andrews and competitors of the St Andrews Challenge to gather for sloe gin, delicious food and live bands throughout the night.
The evening will raise funds for the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust (CWMT) which aims to increase awareness of depression in young people and reduce associated stigma. Welly Ball feels that it is important to support a cause that directly affects many school and university students. The 2018 event will be the fourth consecutive Welly Ball to support CWMT and the Welly Ball committee has been awarded the Mary Moloney plate for continued outstanding commitment to the Trust.
Last year’s Welly Ball raised a fantastic total of £27,000 in aid of the CWMT. Jet Aire Services are delighted to contribute again this year and we hope that the 2018 event is every bit as successful. Further information on the Welly Ball is available at wellyballstandrews.com
