Jet Aire Sales & Marketing Director, Jamie Swan, believes the company is on a firm footing for expansion following its return to full capacity.
Having joined Jet Aire in February, Jamie’s time at the company has coincided with a period of unprecedented disruption for businesses and communities throughout the UK, but he has emerged from the experience with plenty of cause for optimism. Reflecting on his first six months in the role, Jamie is excited about Jet Aire’s prospects for the years ahead.
“When I joined Jet Aire at the start of the year, I don’t think any of us imagined the scale of the challenge that would unfold in 2020. It has certainly been a testing first six months, but I look back with pride in the collective effort of my colleagues in rising to the challenge, and I look forward with high expectations as we plan for the future. Like every business, Jet Aire have made significant adjustments to the way we operate, but our key workers maintained essential frontline services throughout the height of the pandemic and we are now in a position of relative strength.
“In recent months Jet Aire have invested £980,000 in our service capacity, including enhanced resources for our lining division. We are now better equipped than ever to offer a wide-ranging portfolio of services which is used by major national and international names across a range of sectors, including retail, utilities, highways, energy, facilities management and chemical processing.”
Jamie’s wealth of industry experience has been vital in helping Jet Aire to navigate a successful course during the pandemic. Prior to joining the company, he was National Sales Manager at Harpers Environmental Ltd, where he was instrumental in driving growth across the UK. Jamie achieved similar success with Safetykleen as Technical Sales Manager, developing business and working in the Industrial Sales and hazardous waste market.
With over 15 years in the industry and holding a NEBOSH general certificate, Jamie had an all-round, in-depth knowledge of waste regulations, safety and compliance. He has identified huge potential for growth in Jet Aire’s industrial tank cleaning business alongside core services in drainage maintenance and remediation.
“Industrial tank cleaning is a specialist service which demands exceptional expertise and experience, a high level of training and comprehensive risk management qualifications. Jet Aire’s operation excels in all those attributes, so I think we have the credentials to secure major industrial tank cleaning contracts and substantially increase our presence in that market.”
“Much of the past six months has been a process of consolidation, but we are now ready to step up the pace across all areas of the business. Jet Aire is entering a new phase of development and I’m absolutely delighted to be part of it.”
