Jet Aire stirred into action for World’s Biggest Coffee Morning

Jet Aire always enjoy a good brew, so we didn’t need too much persuasion to take part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, a national fundraising effort organised by Macmillan Cancer Support.

As part of their biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer, Macmillan asked people all over the UK to host their own coffee mornings with donations on the day made to the charity. Jet Aire staff stepped up to the plate and brought in an assortment of delicious nibbles to enjoy with the coffee on the day. We are pleased to report that the team put in a stirring performance and the final fundraising total has passed the £200 mark – thank you and well done to everyone who took part!

Macmillan’s first ever Coffee Morning happened way back in 1990. It was a rather small affair with a simple idea: guests would gather over coffee and donate the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan in the process. It was so effective, they did it again the next year – only this time nationally. Since then, the Coffee Morning event has raised over £165.5 million for Macmillan. Last year’s event raised a nationwide total of £29.5 million and this year Macmillan are aiming to raise even more.
